This painting is part of my series Horses and Full Moon.
The series was created shortly after I attended a weekend devoted to meditation and channeling. While I was immersed in the stillness of the yoga studio, a group of horses moved quietly across the field just outside. It was full moon. The light was soft and otherworldly, and the boundary between the inner and outer world felt almost transparent.
That weekend marked a subtle but profound shift in my way of being present with what is. I became deeply aware of the animals’ presence — not only as physical beings, but as carriers of a quiet, grounded consciousness.
In this series, I attempt to paint the visible world as I experience it — landscape, light, body — while also hinting at the magical layer that hums just beneath the surface. The moon, the horses, the stillness: all of it existing both here and somewhere just beyond what we can name.
