Living By Making
Reflections on what it really takes to live as an artist.
Recorded from my wardropeLiving By Making is a podcast about creativity, art, work, recovery, ambition, and the sometimes messy business of being human.
I sit in the wardrobe at Jungsgård—a recording studio born more out of practicality than glamour—and share stories, reflections and lessons from my life as an artist.
The conversations often begin with art, but they rarely stay there.
I speak about navigating the art world, the challenges of building a creative life, and what it means to pursue ambitious goals without losing yourself in the process. I talk about uncertainty, money, authenticity, failure, success, and the constant balancing act between making a living and making meaningful work.
My personal history inevitably finds its way into these episodes. I grew up in a home shaped by alcoholism and later became an alcoholic myself. I have been sober since 2014. These experiences continue to inform how I understand creativity, resilience, vulnerability and what it means to build a life that feels genuinely my own.
Although the podcast draws on my experiences, it is not really about me.
The messages I receive from listeners remind me that the stories we tell about ourselves often belong to something larger. The more honestly we speak about our lives, the more we discover the shared human experiences beneath them.
I hope the podcast offers both insight and companionship. And, whenever possible, a little humour.
The wardrobe at Jungsgård may not be an entrance to Narnia, unfortunately. But it has become a doorway to honest conversations about creativity, art and the complicated adventure of living by making.
New episodes are released approximately every two weeks and are available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Podbean.

Mia-Nelle Studio & Farm
Launching Autumn 2026.
Studio & Farm is a video journal from Jungsgård, the Danish farm where I live and work.
Through paintings, drawings, gardening projects, seasonal rhythms and everyday life, the channel explores what it means to build a creative life rooted in making rather than consuming.
Part studio diary, part rural life, part artistic reflection, Studio & Farm follows the ongoing conversation between creativity, nature and daily life.
New films will be released from Autumn 2026.
