About
I do not feel anxiety in my feet,
so I walk into the woods, seeking shelter.
An ancient relation where I feel complete.
So I draw the belonging—
the trees, my nervous system.

About
I draw trees the way I see them, and the way I sense them. We all come from our own roots.
Edition of 42
77 x 56 cm

Printed on Magnani Pescia Soft White 300 gsm paper
This lithograph comes from a more abstract period in my practice.
It began with quick, intuitive brushstrokes directly onto the stone — a gesture-led process where the image is formed in the moment. From there, a careful and highly skilled printmaking process unfolds.
The work exists in the meeting between the intuitive and the controlled —
between the raw surface of the stone, as a piece of nature, and the precise, almost mechanical processes required to bring the print into being.
